THE AMBASSADOR begins the story of First Contact Ambassador Micha Lawrence. She’s getting older. She’d like to retire. She can’t. The High Council has called her for a dangerous new assignment. We meet her team, the Captain and his crew, and her four old friends.
As the story progresses through the five books, we learn about the Ambassador’s early training on Ras’alhague, the Masters of the Ancient Arts and Keepers of the Five Elements, and much more.
The stories are human stories. They are out in space on different planets. But the situations they find themselves in and the conversations they have are not really that much different that some we might have today. It’s about who we are and how we grow. It’s about taking care of each other and good friends, the ones who show up no matter what. The friends we’d all like to have. It’s also about generations, how we learn, how we pass on what we have learned, and what we leave behind.

SPACE: THE LOCAL NEIGHBORHOOD
Before you and after you
We will remain
We have looked to the stars for 10,000 years. From the time before the early orbiters to the first colonies on Mars and the breakthroughs that let us travel to the nearby stars, we wanted to go. We wanted to go out, to find what we could, to discover what we didn’t know. So we did. We moved out among the stars in our Local Neighborhood. We made friends and discovered new worlds. We learned. We built better ships. We rediscovered ancient technologies. We kept going.
